With a short film by local artist My Pet Skeleton
SPECTRUM and the Queer Night Out Waterloo Region are partnering with Apollo Cinema to present the Rainbow Film Club! Each month, they will showcase a classic of queer cinema. Additionally, there will be a Queer Night Out discussion group in the week following each screening to discuss the film.
Five-thousand-year-old vampire Miriam (Catherine Deneuve) promises her lovers the gift of eternal life. When John (David Bowie), her cellist companion for centuries, discovers that he has suddenly begun growing old, he attempts to seek out the help of Dr. Sarah Roberts (Susan Sarandon), a researcher on the mechanisms of aging.
Films shown at the Rainbow Film Club are selected from community suggestions and online lists of “notable classic queer films.” Some films may contain outdated or troubling content. Please research before attending.
